A Bit of Progress

This is a simple half square triangle windmill. I did forget to center the design between the dark stripes, but if that is the worst error I make, I'm okay with that.

Morrell Block # 02

Morrell block # 03 from Di Ford's Cloverdale House by Andover

Looking for a repeat design for fussy cutting

I taped the pattern on before cutting an exact 1/4 inch seam allowance

Eight exact repeats for block # 04

Draw stitching line then pinning to hand piece
I guess I have my work cut out for me.  Now to get busy.

Blessings,
Chris

    1. Most of the fabrics I am using come from a couple of French General fat quarter bundles I bought on a Craftsy flash sale more than year ago. Do you have any idea how much fabric is in one of those fat quarter bundles? There are 40 different pieces that add up to no less than 10 yards and I bought 5 or 6 of them that day. 4. Beautiful and even more beautiful is the idea of handstitching! Thanks for tipping me off to Crafsty for a bundle of fatquarters, because I need to find a lot for an upcoming project. https://pegsplace.wordpress.com/

    1. I was just dreaming and kept putting stuff in my crafsty cart then one day a flash sale was announced on an ad on you tube so I ended up with several fat quarter bundles at 40-50% off and only $15 shipping on the whole order! it was 2 huge boxes. And the prices are listed in Canadian $$ which means no surprises.
But no more cheap shipping to Canada.
